Jennifer's Story

Jennifer is an American pianist/composer who also lives with MCAS. From the time she created her debut album, Take My Hand, she has wanted to use it to help those who struggle with chronic illness.

Jennifer said:

“2020 was an extremely difficult year for me — I lost my health (again), lost my work (which I was struggling to do anyway), and lost what felt like the entire world as we all went on lockdown. During that year, I learned the reasons for so many of my struggles in life: I was dealing with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome…the list goes on and on! Not only were these the reasons behind my health failure, they were why I have been struggling my entire adult life. While I began the slow road to recovery (management?), I created an album of original piano music that I wanted to reflect my desire to keep going while being so burdened. I also wanted this music to somehow help the chronically ill; not only as a musical gift of comfort, but also as a fund raiser. I would love to share the proceeds of this album with the Mast Cell Action community!”

For a limited time only (1st December - 1st February), Jennifer has genourousley agreed that 50% from the digital download sales of her debut album 'Take My Hand' will be donated to Mast Cell Action.
